T he US bombarded Afghanistan in late 2001 to topple the Taliban regime. The Taliban was ousted from power but the US used the mass of amount of depleted uranium warheads at that time.
US forces are still using many other types of weapons that have new use and conventional warfare.
It’s not only in Afghanistan where deeply the uranium weapons have been used and local people increasingly affected, during the first Persian Gulf War in early 1990s; Kuwait and Iraq were also reportedly bombed by over three hundred and fifty tones of such weapons.
